Cutting the Waist

The following notes and charts are from the Laughing Moon Mercantile pattern instruction sheet and are given in yards only, not metres.

1. Do not cut the size you wear in retail clothing. Take your body measurements and cut the size nearest, going up.
2. The fit of the waist is very dose. Make up scrap fabric test garments. Transfer any changes to the pattern.
3. Because of the wide range in sizes the yardages are grouped by size, and the largest within the size is given. The smaller sizes within the group may find the yardages generous.
Views D, E, and, F show yardages for the largest size (26). All other sizes will find the yardage generous.
