“Pleather” Corset

A "pleather" corset was built using the "Laughing Moon" Dore pattern as found in our pattern section. The lining is made of coutil and bones are in bone casings sewn to the lining to avoid stitch marks on the outside of the "pleather" (pleather is fake leather, I bought this piece from the sale table of a local fabric store.). Rather than using a busk I used a coat weight separating zipper also from my local fabric store. When using a zipper it is even more important to loosen the back ties before putting your corset on to keep stress on the zipper to a minimum. Once the zipper is done up it is much stonger.
