Grommet Setters
60-8800-SETR
Grommet setter for #00 size grommets. This is a hammer type setter
and can be used with grommets #60-8800-BR, #60-8800-BL or
#60-8800-NK. NOTE: this is not a "kit" and does
not include any grommets or hole punch. It is of industrial quality
and should last indefinitely. Grommets of
size #00 have a finished hole diameter of 5/32" or 4.5mm and a
finished grommet diameter of 7/16" or 11mm. |

Kits
To make the process of setting grommets in bodices and corsets
as simple as possible we have chosen to stock not only table mounted
grommet machines for the custom corset builder but also various
grommet setting kits. Three types of kit are available and one
is bound to suit your needs and your budget. All kits include
instructions.

Grommet Setting Hammer Style Kit
60-8800-kit
Includes, *hammer style hole punch (60-8800-cutr), hammer style
grommet setting die (60-8800-setr) and 1gross grommet and washer
sets Brass in size #00, finished hole diameter 5/32".
*Note: hammers used should be either rubber or rawhide not metal.
This is of "industrial" quality and designed for long
term use.
Rubber or rawhide mallets should be used with hammer style tools.
DO NOT use a metal head hammer with the above tools. |

Eyelets
This is a new group of products offered as an alternative to
the grommets and to serve the same purpose. These however, are
available in colours, we are offering black, white, nickel and
brass. The black and white eyelets are made of aluminum and will
not corrode regardless of moisture or perspiration. Washers are
sold separately but we highly recommend the use of washers no
matter what you are using the eyelets for as they increase the
strength of the hole. Our washers are also made of aluminum. Eyelets
will look and feel different than grommets when set. Grommets
set very flat and a bit wider, eyelets set with more 3 dimensional
shape and are marginally smaller in diameter. Eyelet holes are
comparable to #00 grommets in size. Eyelets and grommets cannot
be set using any setter but their own ie. You cannot set an eyelet
with a grommet setter…… at least not adequately |

Eyelet Tools |
Eyelet Setter
54-8600-SET
Hammer type, setter for #00 eyelets and washers. This setter functions
differently than the hammer type grommet setter; it has no base.
The eyelet is placed on the table/floor the fabric is placed over
it (centering the hole of the fabric on the hole of the eyelet)
then add the washer and balance the setting tool in the holes
which are lined up. Use a rubber mallet and strike the end of
the setting tool. NOTE: washers must be used with the eyelets
or they do not set properly as the shank is too long and the fit
will be loose. Always test set a few on scraps. |
